There is nothing more amazing (or satisfying) than watching your children discover their passions and begin to develop them, unprompted by you. In these instances, I become a spectating benefactor, watching the magic unfold and investing in the tools and opportunities they need to sharpen the skills they acquire.
Take my second oldest, for example. After watching cake decorating videos, she decided she wanted to learn how to decorate cakes. She set her mind to her goal, took a class or two, and voila, she has taken off. However, I could never have anticipated where her interest in cake decorating would take her. Cake decorating opened the door for my daughter to explore her creativity and explore other art forms. Naturally, her artistic impulses have led her to desire to take art classes. For two years, she has desired to take an art class, but we’ve struggled to find an affordable course that allowed her to learn different techniques–which is why I Create Art Homeschool Art Subscription Plans are such a godsend!
I Create Art is an art subscription geared for homeschoolers that include access to video lessons, art supplies necessary for the enclosed art project, and instructions to help young artists develop their drawing and technical skills. All art subscription plans have two levels–Introductory Art (5-9 year olds) and Advanced Art (10 & older). There are also two subscription kit plans–The Curriculum Plan and The Creative Art and Christian Art Kit Subscription Plan. We received the Advanced Art Curriculum Plan Kit that featured an art lesson featuring the Stained Glass Art Technique by Frank Lloyd Wright. Take a peak at the unboxing below to see all of the high quality materials we received in our kit!
I took great comfort in knowing that the I Create Art Curriculum Art boxes and lessons were designed by art educators, especially considering I have zero formal art training. I also love that the Curriculum Art Plan is designed to be a weekly art program. The included art supplies and materials lists were extremely convenient because with our busy schedules, tracking down art supplies is the last thing I have time for!
The lesson tutorials were straightforward and easily understood, which was great because my daughter was able to work at her own pace to complete her art project independently. The results were astounding and my daughter was clearly pleased with what she learned! We will definitely be adding this fun, creative curriculum to our homeschool!
